Central City Market is a year round market. Our indoor market is
available for rent to a food retailer who would be open
throughout the year. (Call Scott Perry, Market Manager at 304-525-5141.) Our outdoor market features Preston
Farms and the Farmer's Market. The Central
City Market is exciting with a variety of West Virginia products,
hard to find foods, flowers, plants and fresh produce.
The
Cabell County Tailgate Farmer's Market, features "picked fresh this morning" produce. We have regional and
local produce.
Shop in a covered outdoor area, no
matter the weather. The farmer's market is open every Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday from 7:00 AM until sold out, the last Saturday in June, through
October. Taste the luscious
and delicious difference at the Central City Market in Old
Central City.
Local farmers line up to offer their bounty of fresh home grown
produce to the Tri-State shoppers. For better health, eat five a day the
color way. Every day eat five or more blue/purple,
green, white, yellow/orange and red fruits and vegetables. From apples
to zucchini, from green beans and red cabbage to blackberries and white
corn; from squash and tomatoes to cucumbers and potatoes, Central
City Market has fresh produce, great prices and a convenient
location. So, come see us at 555 West
14th Street for our indoor and outdoor markets.
Preston Farms opens with the
Spring Flower Market, continues throughout the
summer with fresh produce, and then brings us the Fall Harvest. Each
Spring, bring home a nice selection of Spring flowers to grace your
indoors and outdoors.
Then
enjoy delicious, healthy eating with fresh produce and vegetables from
Preston Farms, located along the beautiful Ohio River in Athalia. Ed Preston and his staff
are located in
our outdoor market.
Preston Farms is open April through October from
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM,
Monday through Saturday; closed Sundays.
At
the entrance of the Central City Market is an ATM MAC machine
for your convenience. It is provided by the Huntingtonized Federal Credit
Union. Regardless of where you
bank, you
are welcome to use
it.
Across
the street from the Central City Market is the
Gazebo.
Imagine a barbecue, a beautiful wedding in the park, or a family reunion.
Wow, what a fun time so many of us have
at the Gazebo with crafts, music and so many other enjoyable activities.
For example, throughout the summer we also enjoy art shows, harmonica
playing, jazz music, etcetera. Then in the Fall, there is apple butter
making.
See our
schedule
of activities. Mark your calendar for these events. Then, come every
Saturday to shop at the Farmer's Market, and when scheduled, stay for
the relaxing events at the Gazebo.
